Monday Announcements

Auditions for the winter musical, Once Upon a Mattress, are coming! Audition material is posted in the mirrored hallway.  For help in preparing the singing part of the audition, there will be an open meeting with Mr. Masters (the vocal coach) on Wednesday, the 1st of November at three in the choir room. Auditions will be on November 2nd with time slots from 3:30-8:30. You can sign up for a time slot in the mirrored hallway. Callbacks will be on the 3rd. No experience in drama productions are necessary for auditions! If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Coomer. Hope to see everyone interested, and good luck!


Our college visitors for the next several weeks are as follows:

Coat Drive at Wyoming High School through November 9

Please donate new or used coats of all sizes, along with any hats, gloves, or scarves. Bins for collection will be available in the front rotunda of the high school through November 9.
Wyoming High School Student Council is partnering with Indianapolis Public Schools to sponsor a coatdrive for the Newcomer Program for Immigrant and Refugee Students in Indianapolis, Indiana. This school serves students in grades 3-11 who have been in the United States for less than one year. Very few of these students have experienced winter and most are ill prepared to deal with the elements.

Join your community, friends, and family for the Wyoming Firefighter’s Association Annual Turkey Raffle!

The Turkey Raffle is a fun, family-friendly event that raises additional funds to assist the Wyoming Fire Department with purchasing needed tools and devices for you and your family’s continued safety, welfare, and educational opportunities.

Playing is simple: exchange your tickets for a number on the wheel giving you a chance to win a turkey. Tons of fun for kids! If your number is called, you win a turkey!

Pick up your fresh turkey at the firehouse Tuesday, Nov. 21st. Last year approximately 200 turkeys were given away.

Can’t make it to the Turkey Raffle – no worries!  You can still support the Fire Association by making a donation at www.wfatr.org

Wyoming Theatre Arts will present The Miracle Worker on Friday and Saturday October 20th and 21st at 7:30 PM. It is an award-winning classic which chronicles the struggle and ensuing friendship that develops between the deaf, blind Helen Keller and her teacher, Annie Sullivan.  These women helped to raise the conscience of society and championed the belief that “Everybody Counts.” The play is family friendly. Ticket prices are $10 for adults, $7 for seniors and staff, and $5 for students. Please call the box office at 513-206-7049 to reserve tickets or purchase them at the box office at the time of performance.


Its time to buy yard signs for your music and/or drama student! 

The Wyoming School Music Association (WSMA) is again making yard signs available to purchase for high school students who participate in high school band, orchestra, choir and color guard.

Music signs can be further personalized with your student’s name. Signs are priced at $25 with name/$20 without.

New this year, we are also organizing a sale of signs for high school students who participate in the Wyoming Theater Arts extracurricular program. These signs can be personalized as actor, pit and tech.

We have received very few photos so far for the Senior Slide Show. Below is a list of the photos we’re looking for. If you don’t have everything on the list, please send us what you do have:

  1. Senior selfie
    2. One childhood photo age 4-7 years (NEW: Send us a school kindergarten photo and we’ll share it with Tracy Majors at Wyoming High School for the yearbook – no need to send photos to two different places)
    3. Two individual photos from K-8th
    4. Group photos (school or school-related activities only – no private events)

On October 20th during 5th bell, we are hosting our first Career Corral of the year!  This session will inform students about careers in Architecture, Interior Design, and Industrial Design. Lunch will be provided and students must sign up in advance in Naviance.  ALL grade levels are welcome!

On October 22 from 1-4 PM the National Association of College Admission Counseling will host a national college fair at the Duke Energy Center.  This is a wonderful opportunity to meet with admission officers from colleges and universities nationally.  Students are encouraged to register in advance at www.gotomyncf.com
