It’s time to sell Chip Wheelies for WSMA! WSMA (Wyoming School Music Association) supports the music programs in our schools from Kindergarten through High School.  If you have an hour or two to volunteer, we can use your help.  WSMA sells Graeter’s Chip Wheelies at home football games and all the school concerts.  These ice cream sandwiches are a huge favorite with the kids (and adults).  It’s easy!!  We handle the ordering and delivery of Chip Wheelies to a special freezer at the High School.  We’ll supply you with signage, a cash box, and instructions.  It’s a short time commitment. If you have younger kids who want to attend the football game, you’ll have a good excuse for being there.  Concert sales only take about an hour of time.  If you are interested in volunteering, the link is: http://www.signupgenius.com/go/30e0949a5aa2ea75-chip1

This is a reminder that parking on Wyoming High School campus or in the municipal lot by the tennis courts requires a paid parking permit. These spots were all assigned (to any senior who requested a spot or to a junior through a lottery) in June of 2017. This means students without a proper permit (or students who park in a spot that does not correspond to their permit number) will be at risk of being towed if parked.

We realize this means that all freshmen, sophomores and some juniors, will not have a spot in the school parking lot, but this does not mean they cannot drive to school. It means they would have to park on nearby side streets and walk to the building and would know that each day they need to give themselves the time to do so. Another option is to carpool with a student who has an assigned spot.

Also, we want to remind parents who drive their students to and from school to please be mindful of all cross walks and look carefully for students walking around campus. Please drop students away from crosswalks. Do not park where there is a no parking sign along curbs. The high school does not employ a crossing guard; therefore, it is our responsibility to help our students to remain safe.

Additionally, speed limits for drop off and pick up are 20 m.p.h. Please remind your driving students to be mindful of crossing students and safety. We find students rush to leave the parking lot. We do not want accidents to happen due to being in a hurry or being careless.

Remember the tardy bell rings at 7:50 a.m. so please plan enough time for students to get to their lockers and then the classroom.
